The classic, traditionally styled red brick cottage with a spacious interior is the perfect base from which to explore all that Norfolk has to offer. Coastal towns such as Cromer are a mere 10 mile drive making for a perfect day out while while the outer reacher of the Norfolk Broads National Park are roughly 20 miles away.
Aylsham is well known for its market town heritage and has many local attractions for the whole family. It sits upon the River Bure and the surrounding areas are great to explore on foot or by bicycle. Local shops, pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance of Old Harper House which also has a driveway offering off-street parking for two cars.
Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms, a double and a twin room as well as the bathroom featuring a stunning roll-top bath. Downstairs, there’s also a wet room with shower and the third bedroom which contains a day bed as pictured. This is suitable for only one person and also acts as a sun room with its expansive door and windows which overlook the garden. The large kitchen and dining area features a delightful gas aga and all the appliances you’d expect. There’s also a comfortable lounge area with television, sofas and an open fire.
A pleasant court yard pebbled garden with outside table and chairs exists within a courtyard to the rear of the property which also features a traditional well (capped) as a characteristic feature piece. One medium sized dog is welcome to join you during your stay although the owners request that it be kept downstairs and off of the furniture. Towels are provided as well as a cot and a host of books and games can be found at the property for the rainy days.
