Cotmandere is a grand period house set within the prime location of Aldeburgh at the top of the town steps giving it prominent views over the town and the North Sea. The stunning architecture of the house and its red brick frontage give it masterful curb appeal and give the feeling of a country house but with the advantages of a central town location and the nearby coastal areas of Suffolk. This may be one of the pricer properties on our site of self catering holiday homes from around Britain but remember that this can accommodate 11 guests and if price splitting in a large group works out comparatively cheap.
The arrangement of the 5 bedrooms to create 3 double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a room with twin beds and bunk beds make it ideal for extended family holidays as well as groups of friends. Cotmandere is dog friendly and allows one trains dog to accompany you during your stay. They also provide off street parking, broadband access and a pool table. You’ll also find two downstairs living rooms as well as a study with desk. There are two bathrooms, one with a roll-top bath and one with a shower over bath both finished to a remarkably high standard as is the rest of Cotmandere with its stylish interior design.
As a town, Aldeburgh is a popular and unspoilt British holiday destination and has historically been popular with writers. It also plays host to an annual music festival. The buildings that make up the town are mostly Georgian with a row of colourful beach huts along the shorefront used by fishermen.
