This well preserved 17th century cottage with cob walls and thatched roof is set within the quiet hamlet of Galmpton near Hope Cove, an idyllic bay on the Devon coast. The nearest major town is Kingsbridge but at Amberwell, you’ll find yourself surrounded by pasture land and a mere miles walk from the beach. This relatively large holiday cottage can accommodate 8 guests and is ideal for large or extended families as well as groups with it’s three twin bedrooms, one double bedroom and three bathrooms.
Amberwell is a characteristic thatched cottage that has been upgraded over the years to add more space including a huge conservatory that offers stunning views over the sprawling lawned garden. A comfortable lounge area with fireplace contains original timber beams and the kitchen with breakfast area is fully equipped. There’s internet access at this cottage as well as off street parking for three cars. Bed linen is provided although guests are requested to bring their own towels. One well behaved pet is allowed during your stay although you will need to state this in advance.
Thurlestone’s legendary links golf course is a short drive away from Amberwood in Galmpton and Salcombe makes a very pleasant day out for the whole family. Devon is an ideal holiday destination all year round with many attractions, thing to do, and places to explore.
